Hello Guemes Islanders Neighbors!
The Guemes Island Community Church recently replaced the roof (over $48,000) and then the furnace (over $6,000) on the Spirit of Guemes Center. We are doing a second fund drive to ask for additional donations. We’d like to THANK those of you who have already generously donated over $7,400! With your help GICC has kept this space in excellent working condition since 1914!
Please drop donations in our locked mailbox (7611 Guemes Island Road). Donations are tax deductible. We will send a receipt/note, if your name and address are included. Please make your check payable to GICC with “roof and/or furnace” in the note section. We thank you for considering!
Did you know that this building is an emergency shelter? We have a state-of-the-art kitchen, showers, food stores and emergency supplies always on hand. And, don’t forget to email us if you need a WARM and DRY meeting spotl spiritofguemes@gmail.com !
